Description
Learn to make the ultimate edible gift in the free Florentines class with Multiply. Join our professional tutor at the Medway Skills and Learning Hub to create cherry and ginger Florentines and package them as a gift.
All ingredients will be supplied free of charge.
If you are aged 19 and over and do not have Maths at level 2 or equivalent, you can access free numeracy courses through Multiply to build your confidence with numbers and learn a new skill in our professional studios.
What will I learn on this course?
1. Use multiplication to scale the recipe up to make double the amount.
2. Use division to scale the recipe down to make half the amount.
3. Use division to calculate the even portioning of the mixture.
Is this course suitable for me?
This course in an excellent starting point for beginners who want to explore basic cooking skills or for those with experience who want to learn about traditional celebration cooking.
Is there anything I need to know about the course?
Please bring your own clean apron to all classes and a bag / container to take cooked food home at the end of the course. No open toed shoes in the kitchen.

Recipes will be presented by the tutor and explored – learners can also do their own research using the internet / google to explore recipes outside of class time.
